Membley Outreach Chess Tournament Hosted by The Gift of Chess & The Membley Titans.

The tournament took place in the stunning Membley Baptist Church hall & had 92 children who played in the two categories of U18 which had 46 and U12 also had 46 players.

The Tournament started early at exactly 9:15 am after the opening Ceremony & ended at exactly 5:15 PM Regarding the event itself. In a sense, the games speak, & the results reflect both the intrinsic speed of the processor employed & the team's experience with the children.

With competitors coming from Membely Outreach-GOC, GOC-Familia Moja Children's Home, Muthiga Hope Centre-GOC, Membley Chess Titans, & environst it is not surprising that the first 2 round got off at 9:15 am.

Quickly the top contenders began to set a trend & fight tooth and nail to set themselves apart for a chance on top of the podium. After six rounds the list shared above had clinched its prize and a full detailed report below with performance.

The later rounds were a climax with everyone being on the edge and the ambiance being cool as people had had a full belly and our only focus was to produce an exemplary play and remember that not everyone can win, but none of these events occur without some heartbreaks.

The Tournament ended with happy wishes for Merry Christmas and Happy New year with the children from The children's home and Ruiru slums and villages being given a Christmas gift and a happy photo to commemorate the event.
