Meet Howard United Chess Team… Only a few months ago we all met in the lobby of a refugee shelter —today as a united team we came prepared to compete against players in a US Chess federation sanctioned state-wide competition. Our team lost some games, won some great ones too. Most importantly we had the opportunity to play.
