The Gift of Chess welcomes Dr. Katie Moore.

The Gift of Chess is thrilled to welcome Dr. Katie Moore to our advisory team. She is a dedicated physician in the Portland, Maine community who is passionate about the power of human connection in the health of individuals as well as the health of communities. She has been a vital part of our work with vulnerable youth and is excited to explore new partnerships in her home state of Maine. In her professional life she has had the privilege of caring for many people often forgotten and isolated… nursing home residents, incarcerated people, those with addictions, mental health challenges, victims of sex trafficking. She currently finds great satisfaction caring for veterans at the VA clinic in Portland. 

We are excited to partner with Dr. Moore to expand our outreach to the many who would benefit from the human connection and the intellectual rigor that chess provides.
